Revealing the different cultures to understand the soul of each people, know them better and learn to respect it more. Kaleidos begins collecting this challenge, the new editorial initiative that has the ambitious aim to get the people closer, to make the exchange and the comparison easier. The compass, to guide the work in this difficult project, is the art with his extraordinary ability to convey emotions “without flags”.
In front of so many cultural expressions, each “social” barrier falls. The light are directed only on the artist and his work, the result of his sensitivity and the summary of his personal background and the background of his people. Not having the art a universal recognizable language, in front of a work – even if it is music, painting or sculpture - everyone has to understand the message and the feelings it manages to transmit. In the mean time, the “defense” move away, the prejudices are put aside, and people are more sensitive and open to know better the others.
Kaleidos want to encourage these moments; of course, it will be the show-case for various artists, but it will also create opportunities for dialogue among peoples, it will offer a different way to approach to intercultural dialogue.
In this context, the choice of the magazine’s name is not casual: Kaleidos, from the greek word, “the object that make other see beautiful figures”. Therefore, it will give visibility, to what it’s beautiful in the cultures that live beside us.
